Is there 2 different shades of blue in the current/recent OTG range?

I have seen them listed as Blue and Dark Blue.

Thanks!

I know there have been variations in the hue over the years but are there 2 distinct blue colours available in the current range (that has just been discontinued)?

No. There is variance between runs, not just differrent years.  Its just not a perfect science.

Remember lighting is everything in a photo. My phone could run richer/darker than yours, screen brightness plays a role too. Your monitor could be off just a hair where mine is calibrated. Tons of factors play a part. But I would say they have a difference in color as many new ones seem very dark in the pics I've seen. More navy blue than royal blue.

Yeah, I actually meant the name of the colour (as in what is actually written on the box). The ones I have seen lately are called 'Dark Blue' but I am sure I have seen others called 'Blue'.

My 2013 "dark blue" is pretty close to royal blue; its definitely not dark. I remember reading about a consulting firm Weber used that inspired the "Style" line and I believe also encouraged Weber to mute the colors on their North American product lines (remember brick red?). I can't help but wonder if that affected labels leading to it being called dark blue, even if the color formulation remained about the same. Heck, a local tru-value has a new performer that is closer to periwinkle than royal, but it is called dark blue. I have yet to see a blue in person that I would actually call navy. Photos seem to misrepresent the blue more than red, green or any of the other colors, at least that's how it seems to me.

My 2011 blue almost looks purple in certain bright sunshine.

Like a Vikings, or a Ravens purple.  ???

Mine too. It looks more like indigo. I also have a royal blue and they are totally different.

Seen some that almost look royal versus navy blue
