Hey all, just wanted to share a few pics of a recent kettle pickup. It's a 1975 Copper Mist that was originally found at an estate sale. The seller said that it was only used one or two times and then lived the rest of its life up in an attic in Arlington Heights! So it didn't make it very far from the factory!

Believe it or not I didn't even have to clean it, this is how it came straight from the seller (with exception of a quick dust wipe out)

I'm super happy about snagging this one and it will be going straight into cooking rotation and staying there for a very long time 8)

Happy Tuesday!

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Cheers all!

I was pretty concerned about shipping this one as I was not familiar with the seller and it was being shipped across the country, but he did a freaking INCREDIBLE job packing it. I pride myself on my kettle packing skills and this was at least as good as what I would have done myself so was very relieved upon opening and inspecting contents!

Thanks! I wish there was a cool story behind this one but it was a boring old eBay purchase. I don't normally like to purchase grills off eBay, mainly due to prices (I overpaid a bit for it), but the chances of finding another in this good of shape was worth the few extra bux to me. Will be selling my existing copper mist to help take a bit of the sting off.

Great find and even if you feel you overpaid a bit at the time I'm sure you are happy you did so now. It is a beautiful example. Congrats!
