While I live in Indy, I grew up in Chicago, so it has to be deep dish.  Lou Malnatis, specifically.  What's yours?

BJ's Special, St. George Island Florida.  Best pizza I've ever had, we have it at least once each visit there.

I like them all. I really like cooking a simple Neapolitan style pie, though. A few high quality ingredients and an enamel splitting 900° fire in the kettle is all there is. Not much to hide behind.

Pre-pandemic I was usually in Chicago a half-dozen times per year. My favorite Chicago style is Pequods. I've had them all and Pequods was the standout. The advent of shows like Diners Drive-ins and Dives has made the place a little busier than I remember.

I'm non denominational regarding pizza, high quality pizza in front of me and I'm good
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

We all pray to the same pizza god but may attend different churches.

If I had to choose, probably Giordano's style stuffed deep dish. I should make that on the grill sometime now that I think about it...
I think I might need a bigger backyard soon...

I love Deep Dish, especially Lou Malnatis, but also really like the pub style pizza in Chicago.

Pequods is the best in Chicagoland.

I have fairly recently tried Pequod's.
I was not sure how I would feel about the burnt cheese around the edges. But it is yummy. I need to try Burt's, which was started by the same guy who started Pequod's but I have not been able to yet.

In the indy area, I like Jacks, Arnies, pizza king.  I've made myself a Detroit style and loved it but haven't been to Detroit to try the real thing.  There is a place in Greenwood called south of Chicago that makes a great deep dish.  They also have great Italian beef sandwiches and large crinkle cut fries.

Michael, is there a Lou Malnatis on the west side?  They recently opened one up in Greenwood.  on a burger note, have you tried the recently opened Swenson's?  I had it when it first opened.  Great service but can't say the burger was that special
