Personally, I would not use the vortex on anything but a GBS with the centre removed. I pretty much use it only for chicken bits.... wings, thighs, drumsticks.

How do they hold up to the vortex?  I use that accessory quite often.

They hold up great - You can't even tell it's been used on it. Maybe a slight darker if you look hard after cooking. Those steel rods are big.

Okay thank you. I only use the vortex for wings as well.  I may buy a stainless steel grate and use the original just for wings.
