Yesterday I was scrolling through the barbecue section of a local marketplace here in the Netherlands (Europe) and I saw this ad for a professional xxl barbecue. The ad didn’t say Weber but I recognized the mothership because I’ve bin looking at it a lot here at the forum, I love the look of that grill! Never knew they sold that model in the Netherlands or Europe.
So I made an offer and they accepted it immediately, made me think a paid to much but for 150 euro you want hear me complain.
So I was excited all day and night till today I could make the 3,5 hour roundtrip from Venlo to Dordrecht and back.
After a warm welcome we walked into his storage room and I see 2 motherships! I asked what he was doing with the second one and he told me he also wanted to sell it but because the front leg was in another storage he would take pictures later.
I told him not to bother because I would also buy that one.
So packed with 2 motherships I stopped at the nearest gasstation to text @bertl, a respected member who helped me a lot sinds I started collecting.
I offered him the second one for the same amount I got it because I knew he had it high on his list.
He was kind enough to throw in an 18 inch 1979 birth year kettle!
So thank you @Bertl! Kettle karma strikes again!
These ‘84 and ‘86 are looking great next to my 2011 ranch kettle!
