My first kettle restore.
« on: August 17, 2020, 08:11:10 AM »
I have been wanting a Weber kettle to transition from just having my Genesis silver. I found this great 22.5 with wood handles on Craigslist for $7, so I couldn't pass it up. When the seller actually responded that I could come pick it up I was thrilled. Just a lady clearing out stuff she didn't use was my gain.
Not much wrong, just missing a wood handle, and one wheel won't stay on, and needing some cleaning up.
Here are the before picks.

Sweet score, she will make a good cooker
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Already cleaning up well. Not done yet, then on to the legs and ash pan.

All it needs now is a grate, and off we go.

Nice job!  That's got many years left of grilling and smoking.  Well done!
