Vent Polishing Question

Hey all! I'm in the middle of restoring a circa. 1971-72 Weber Caribbean Kettle and a few days ago I saw a photo of someone who polished and cleaned all their vents on their vintage kettle to like-new condition. How would I go about doing this? Thanks in advance!
