Awhile back this kettle was listed with a few others for sale.  The "gold"  which was actually yellow found it's way down under.  The "silver" was purchased by a local WKC member and found it's way to my backyard (thanks Pete).  It took awhile and more than a few razor blades to clean it up.  Today I finished it up by adding the two missing bowl vents and cleaning up the lid handle.  First project down..... Amazing job on the paint removal!  RRR.

Did you use anything besides razor blades?

Very nice!  Much better in original color.

I used razor blades for about 85 percent of the job.  These helped get the stubborn and hard to reach places.  I didn't test it first as the lid looked like it got hit by a 2x4.  But I'm happy to say it only removed the silver paint.

Man I remember when Pete picked that up and stopped by my house. Was the ding in the lid bigger? You did a great job on that kettle!

Thanks,  It's got a special spot now because I put so much time an effort into it.

Two big dents on the lid.  But nothing that the hammer (aka "Crazy Bob") couldn't handle.  It might have been a drastic move but I figured I couldn't do more damage.

Great job on the restoration and the battle scars give it character.
