Are these discontinued?  I bought a set last year for $11 on amazon and I just checked and there is only one listing for $35. That's a shame if they are. Such a simple effective tool that's been around forever.

Just checked Weber's site. It says currently unavailable. Really a bummer.

If anyone has any laying around let me know. I would like to have another set.

I always have good luck at the Mom and Pop Ace Hardwares for things like that.

I think I actually saw some in the clearance section of my Ace store. I could probably take a look after work. If they are cheap I will just grab them. I figure I can either keep them or figure something out with the original poster.

I almost bought some on clearance at ace the other day, I will go see if they are still there as well. If they are, I already have your address

$35.    Wow!

Try grillparts.com

Another website I've used for parts says they've been discontinued.

I dropped by the local Ace store, headed for the clearance section in the grilling area, and managed to find a few gems while I was there.  They were even doing a "Red Tag Sale" for an additional 50% off the red tag price.  My memory served me well as there was one set of Weber 7402 Charcoal Rails that cost me a whopping $4.17 after tax.  The real find though was they had a Weber 6727 Stainless Steel BBQ Rack that I managed to pick up for $16.25 after tax when it retails on Weber for $34.49.  Check that clearance section fellas, you never know what you might find.  I would however make sure you check the package to be sure it is all there.  I saw an ignitor kit there one time that was missing half of what was in the package.

If anyone really loves or needs the Charcoal Rails I would probably be fine parting with them for approximately cost plus shipping.

I used to have these, and imo they worked WAY better than the charcoal baskets. I miss them very much.

I've never actually used them.  Pretty certain I have a bunch of rusty sets around here & there.  Now, I'll actually have to try them out.

Wonder if they would ever actually become trade bait.

Hal

They no longer stock this  :(
Bummer, so I took another look and have seemed to find them again and it seems Gatlin Lumber has them in stock for now as does the other link.

My question is how well do these work in comparison to the baskets?
