I've already acquired 4 kettles since the end of July. I just picked up a nice kettle today and just made arrangements for another one! I can't even count them in my head anymore, I might need a calculator at the rate things are going.

I gotta quit buying junk kettles just because they are cheap lol
I justify it because of parts lol

MagnoliaTom

I got 3 grills in about 3 weeks. Don't need anything else but still looking in case I find something cheap.

Well I wasn't really trying to acquire parts donors, but they follow me home like stray dogs!

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

Weberitis is real! Hook, Line, & Sinker!!

That thread is quality! For a second I thought I didnt know what a 7409 was, then I was like awe shit thats that old ash sweep isnt it. Lol

That's about one kettle a week you're doing great. Once you figure out whether you like the better and easier to get colors of the old versus the new, the ease of cooking and cleaning of the new versus the old that should temper your buying. I know it has for me.

I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

@JEBIV, It's never a problem for you. I may be 4 days late, a belated Happy Birthday, Joe! Hope you had a wonderful day, and have many more! Sorry for hijacking the thread.

Happy late b-day Joe!

My wife recently pointed out that I have bought over 10 Weber kettles this year...

My only defense was that this kettle or two was for parts, that kettle is worth a lot more, and etc.

Her minimalist mindset didn't quite register my reasoning.  I have gotten rid of a few since then, but only because I need more space in case something else comes along haha.

I have three 22" and two 18" kettles, one Smokey Joe, along with two 18" WSMs. I see no problem as long as you don't run out of charcoal and storage area... :-)
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

We all have this problem.

I missed out on a fantastic deal on a 26er this past weekend and I quoted your signature to my wife, she chuckled of course. Well lo and behold I may just be getting a 26er very soon, so like your sig says I might stop buying kettles... so often. Just as well, but I recently took a liking to WSMs so I might switch over to WSM collecting ;)
