GEN 2 Weber Performer Touch-and-Go replacement question

Hey Guys! Just bought a gen 2 Weber Performer, the Touch and Go system is not currently working. from what I understand the Gen 4 Performer has a different spark system to make it light easier, since I am replacing, does anyone know if the newer system will fit on my weber Performer.

Hey Guys! Just bought a gen 2 Weber Performer, the Touch and Go system is not currently working. from what I understand the Gen 4 Performer has a different spark system to make it light easier, since I am replacing, does anyone know if the newer system will fit on my weber Performer.

You have to bore out the hole to get the newer igniter to fit, you have to cut down and towards the center of the grill to get the button to clear cover. Usually when something is wrong with the touch and go it's debris in the tube and or gunk on the orifice. I like the continuous spark too tho it's a bit snug but it works.
