Performer swapping
« on: May 27, 2019, 04:33:34 PM »
I know alot of you like the Gen2 performer with the gen4 table but I went with the Gen4 performer with the gen2 control panel. I like the continuous starter so I had to swap those. Added some flair to the wheel caps and had enough in the rattle can to jazz up the new propane bottle.

I like both of them better now.

I agree, that swap looks really good!  Those red wheels turned out great.  Great job.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Not a fan of the charcoal bins? Why are all the bottom shelves turned around?

I love those CB greens! Still searching for one close.

Don't like the bins on any of my performers. The shelves are rotated to have a flat surface underneath the table.

I have never used them to store charcoal but like to store lighting cubes and wood chunks in there. I like the setup on the SSP best, a bin for storage but also plenty of room underneath.

What size anti-jam pan is that? Did you have to trim to fit around the igniter hole?

Those are referred to as "full size" steam pans.  You'll need to trim some portion of the frame to make it fit and add a bracket underneath.   Not sure but you can probably fashion a frame to put over the opening so you don't have to do any cutting.

I would like to see more on the electronic ignition. Can you close the lid and not set it off.  That is one mod I would like to do to my second gen.....

That button was short enough for it to close fine but the flip. Up. Door didn't open all the way up just 90 degrees but it worked fine. I swapped to another button and it works perfect now.

I like your red mist. Those larger bales are awesome. I put one on mu smoking rig and I can get the lid in the bale even with the stacker on the bowl.
