First, I want to issue a huge thank you to
@jcnaz. A while back, John let me know a few of his old kettles needed a good home. I didn’t really need any more barbecues at my house and I have gifted cookers to nearly everyone I know. But then I got to thinking. My dad, who has cooked on Weber’s for years, didn’t have one anymore. Check. My cabin cooker, that has always been an SJ, could stand a size upgrade. Check.
Instead of throwing them on a FedEx truck or a Greyhound bus, they took a trip on the “West Coast Kettle Express.” I also want to shout out thanks to Mike
@foshizzle, Mike’s buddy, and Sidney
@1spacemanspiff for their hand in making the 900 mile trip possible.
Long story short, they are in their new homes to be enjoyed for many years to come. My dad is really excited to have a Weber again and that 49’er looks like it belongs at the cabin. Both are going to be cooking up some great memories very soon!
