I see a lot of posts about cooking pizza on the grill with a stone. We prefer to not use a stone on the spirit.  Just heat the grill really hot to get it good and clean, turn it down and on it goes. Cook one side then add topping to that side and cook the other side until the cheese melts. We love it. Anybody else go that route?

Are those chicken breasts or pizzas?  Just kidding. I haven't tried that YET. I need to do that. I've heard it's very good.

Yes. Comes out great. Never had any problems with dough sticking to the grate

They're rustic looking pizza dough. Very gourmet!

Only takes about 6 minutes to cook each pizza. Can't see firing up the master touch for such a short cook. Also have a little more space on the Spirit.

I used to cook pizza this way.   Funny story:  Had some friends over for a pizza night one time.   When I threw the dough on the grates like you did, one of the guys speaks up:  "whoa, whoa, what are you doing?!"
me: "I don't have a pizza stone so I'm doing it this way."  Him: "You said it was pizza night, not flatbread night!"  me: "WTF are you talking about?"
then he went into this 25 minute rant/explanation/lecture about how pizza is cooked in a hot oven on a stone blah blah blah, what I'm doing is more of a flatbread artisinal thing blah blah blah.

I really didn't want to correct him, so I just told him to order from Papa Gino's and piss off!
