Turkey Sunday
« on: February 03, 2019, 03:29:27 PM »
Took advantage of the warmer weather today and cooked up a turkey on the Fleetwood.
Injected with Tony’s garlic and herb I think is what it was and made an herb butter to rub under the skin.
Cooker ran for around 3 1/2 -4 hours at 350ish with a chunk of pecan for the first hour or so. Tinted with aluminum foil around the 2 1/2 hour mark.

That is a fine looking turkey and a sweet fleetwood
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Great color!  How was your fire set up?

I see both your Fleetwood and CJ have all terrain tires!

Thanks! Fire setup was straight forward. A lighted chimney on one side and added roughly 12 unlit every hour until done.

Looks delish. The last time I ate a turkey was for last year's Thanksgiving.
