I'm seriously considering buying a 26 inch. I have a heavily modded 22 inch which I absolutely love but I really desire the extra real estate.On my 22 inch, I added the following:
Slow N Sear;
Probe Port;
BBQ Guru Viper fan;
Fireboard thermometer;
Weber Rotisserie;
Rib-O-Lator.
Right now, I have 2 chickens in my 22 inch and I really had to squeeze them in tight. I'm thinking, it'll be easier with a 26 inch. I use my kettle a couple of times a week (including winter). I mainly cook for me and my wife. So, based on this, I'm wondering if the 26 is overkill.
Also, is controlling the temperature the same on the 26 as it is on the 22? Really if I do buy the 26, I plan on drilling a hole so that I can add the BBQ Guru Viper Fan.
I've read guys complain that the legs on the 26 is suspect. Are there any other issues that I would need to worry about IF I bought a 26?
The wife asked, why do I need another Weber Kettle? What can the 26 do that the 22 can't. And I also have a Camp Chef Pellet grill. My answer is: Just because...For the same reason she has dozens of shoes...lol
So what do you all say?
