I just realized the person who won this grill on Ebay is the same individual who tried to trump me on the 70's "Chief" last month.  I can tell by his truncated bidder id.  He came in with a high bid at the end of the Chiefs listing just like this one.  I was ready for him and beat him to the punch. I  look forward to another round!

Good to see you got one back, but you've gotta let it go :D
What bidding technique did you use this time??
You might not want to answer that , he could be watching
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

I didn't bid on the Turquoise last year (before my Weber days).  I guess if he is here it is only as a visitor.  :-*

Hogsy you can use sniping software or (I think) sniping sites for eBay auctions.

My old method works for stuff *most* people wouldn't be bidding on: log into eBay --- make CERTAIN you're fully logged in, not just seeing your username on the page --- and let the auction tick down to about 15 seconds and then bid. You should have just enough time to click "confirm" to do the bid. With a decently-running computer and Internet connection this does essentially the same thing as sniping.

No, I am happy with mine, paid $25 for it.  This was a hardware store employee who gave me a heads-up.  A customer came in looking to get new parts for her light blue Weber.  A few calls later, she had an "up-grade" and I got the grill.   It does need a little help though.

Reilly, I forgot that you had that! I would love to see more if this aqua delight!

I had to look through the old thread to remember if I had bid on that or not.  (I didnt). That remains my hardest to find Holy Grail, and unfortunately I think the price I am willing to pay rises every month.  My oldest daughter would flip her lid if I got one of those.  That is exactly her favorite color.

Better her lid than your Webers'.  ;) That light blue is a beauty. I wonder how it compares to the similar blue one in the UK.
"Have you hugged your Weber today?"

How cool that MTH aqua would look and function with a 50s ash catcher triangle!  :D
