I have read in a couple areas on here this is the last year for blue. Can anyone tell me how we know this? Also, I have done a search and only found 1 place in the forums and the home page that reference this.
Please point me in the right direction to read more.
One of my son's favorite color is blue. The other's is green. I would like to procure one of each color for them and was thinking if this really is the last year for the blue maybe I should buy a new one and keep it in the box to give to him at a later time in life when he is older.
Thanks!

We've heard from numerous sales reps that this will be the last year for blue.

If the buydig deal on the homepage is still good, that would be the best way to buy a blue and a green.

I may have to pull the trigger........ Is green more popular than blue? If I had my druthers I'd get a blue Performer. But if a '79-80 MBH blue comes up..... All bets are off

It was announced at the Weber sales meeting last month.  They are dropping the blue, keeping the green, adding crimson, and reformulating the copper.  Oh, and bring back the 14.5 WSM.

I don't know why green has been aruond so long..  I mean, don't you think that Blue is more popular? Sure, there are some shades of green that look nice, but BLUE is way better..
Now if you wanted to start a rumor, a BLUE 26er is one that I would start! Seems to me, that it would sell like crazy!  8)
I don't care if you don't like my Avatar, its there for me..

"and reformulating the copper.."

Do they still sell "Copper" anywhere?  I thought that was a Target thing from a few years ago? :'(
Interested in ANY offset handle SJs you may have.

Jeff and Duke, thanks for the letting me have a perve at the massive blue pr0n.... :o  Very nice.

Duke, Is that a 26" front leg in that Shark blue? When I bought the lid bale parts, I ordered 8" wheels like that and the classic 8" whitewalls (can't have enough wheels) and a 26" front leg to do something similar to my black 22. I was thinking of doing a Americanized Euro Kettle theme thingy...

Duke

Yes, those are 26 legs on it. It's my version of a euro American grill they can't have. ;)

That is nice! Really pops!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the only difference in the 26" legs is the front leg?

Prediction, by 2020 if blues are still gone they'll be every bit as collectible as the reds and the other colors long gone. I think its a shame, don't get me wrong, dark green is ok, but that blue, that color pops, its such a modern hue, yet the Weber Kettle has worn it well since 1979.
