Vintage Wok from down under
« on: August 01, 2018, 05:11:25 AM »
I've been wanting a vintage wok for quite awhile. They are very hard to find in the states,  especially with a box. Seeing many woks showing up in Australia, I thought that might be the best place to find one. Fellow WKC'r and grate grillfella @bear was also searching for an 18.5 blue OTG to help complete his collection of Weber blues. BJ had his own wok and had a line on another one. This was a match made in heaven. So after we tied up lose ends, I've finally received this great accessory. The box is in nice shape with a little fade but the graphics are killer. It looks new? but does have some light surface rust that should clean right up. I can't wait to clean it up, get her seasoned and put it through its paces. Bear also threw in an awesome WKC Australia truckers hat Thanks again BJ! Heres a few pics

Awesome!!!!  Congrats, Scott!  And big Kettle Kudos to Bear (who, along with Jocool, helped me secure my wok from down under too)

Very cool.

Is there anyway to confirm how many of these were even made to begin with?  (or any accessory or kettle for that matter?)
Its amazing how quickly one weber kettle turns into more than a dozen!  Always open to grabbing something interesting so let me know what you've got!

No worries mate! By the looks of the heat stress underneath, I think it was used once.

Pleasure doing business with a great Grillfella also. Wok on!
