I am still very much a small time amateur in this Kettle hobby. Recently, I was lucky enough to pick up a patent pending 26" red flat top. It was listed as "grill charcoal" and I got it for $35! As would be expected it has flaws, and one was that one of the metal handles was broken off.

I put out an ISO here asking for a metal handle of any color. Fellow club member brewtownbeatdown (Mike) told me he had a leftover black handle he could send. He wouldn't accept any money, and the next thing I know he sends me pictures of it being restored with high heat red paint! Moreover, he cut the attached metal to make it easier for my friend here to work with it in welding it in my 26!

It arrived the other day and looks awesome! THANK YOU Mike!



I look forward to getting this old red 26 to come back to life. My schedule has been insane, but I will post some pictures of it "as is" soon.
