I checked with the seller and she has yet to respond....
She hasn't even read my last few messages.
Believe me, I am getting impatient too. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'll post a pic and start the pity party.

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

I hope for good news for you & am curious to see what it was.  Hoping it does not wind up being the one that "got away."

Ok so still haven't heard from the seller, so I am assuming bad news. If somehow, it reappears or one of you snipes it from me; so be it. At the end of the day, it is just a grill and my wife would be happy that I don't have another one lying around.

Anyway, here it is.....
Drum roll please....

This is, what appears to me, to be an original Smokey Joe from the 1950s. The SJ-100. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think there are too many of these in the WKC; only one that I know of.

Pity party commencing now.

OMG...I was also after this grill in the upper Midwest...I had a student whose family was from there reach out but nothing came of it...that was back in late May...

I forgot who, but someone got one off of Craigslist late last year where someone built or modified a wood carrying case for it.  It was up for a while & took me a while to notice the weird little things were the legs, but someone else on here had already noticed the center vent on the upside-down lid.  I didn't even realize that was the lid (it was upside-down).  When I first ran across it, I dismissed it as another boring SJ, but I kept going back to it & was going to buy it just for the weird case, when I finally realized the three weird items that had a special spot in the box where they were sticking up were those pencil sort of legs.
