Pat pending with thumbscrews?

A coworker of mine grabbed this before the waste pickup workers got to it. I know the patent was for the friction fit sockets, but I was wondering does anyone have a pat pending with thumbscrews?  Do they exist?  I don't recall seeing one, or is a different lid added to a thumbscrew era bowl?
Either way I really like it!

That's interesting. My slightly educated guess is different lid. I'll be checking back to see what others think.  @craig

Regardless, great rescue bud.

You rang!?

Nice pickup! I would love to see closeups of the sockets. The shape of them will be a giveaway if it's a true thumbscrew era bowl or a "PAT MENDING" (Pat Pending that needs mending) ... I've got two Pat Pendings that needed mending. Ones got thumbscrews and the other has SS bolts.

I see metal hubcaps so it's POSSIBLE that the original owner got a replacement lid a couple of years later? Either way, let's have a look at those sockets up close please. The socket's feet will tell the tale. Metal hubcaps we're done by early 1968.
