EE code. Appears they broke sockets off with the legs to put in bowl to bring to dump.
No ash catcher and sweeps are toast. Will make a nice cooker for camp
Stay tuned for restoration.

You seem to have a lot of colored Kettles in your area? Very rare we get anything but Black.

Does that fade from brown on the bottom of the lid to red on the top of the lid come from the factory or is it from age? I would think from the factory right?

That red is such a deep shade at the bottom of the lid that I can see how it could be mistaken, especially depending on the color settings of the screen it was being viewed on.  Besides, does it really matter that much in the end?  Either way you didn't answer his question.

Larry the BBQ Guy, I can't answer your question but am looking forward to someone on the forums being able to because that is a question I have always had myself with some of these fades.

Colin, another nice pickup!  Thanks for rescuing her.  She'll make a great looking cooker!

Cool. The fade reminds me of the fade they put on a fender guitar. I wonder how the factory does that. Anyway, cool find. Look forward to seeing the restore.

That is a great save! The lid, bowl, lid bale assy and even the handle strap all looks to be in a great shape. Spare legs, triangle, wheels, ash pan, handles, and grates... you get great cooker back in action.  Looking forward to the outcome.

hawgheaven

Damn shame they broke the leg sockets off... and to throw a beauty like that in the dump. Jeezus...

Good save!  8)
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.
