So on the internet last night and found Weber BAR-B-KETTLE 18 1/2". $50.00 for a new old stock grill. I contact the guy and he has had it listed for 1 month? Why did I not see this before!?.

I went and picked it up today. I come to find out the guy grew up in my old neighborhood and went to the same high school as me only about 20 years earlier.

The grill was his father in laws. It was originally shipped to him from Venture in Bedford Park, IL. when he lived in Norwood Park, IL, and never opened. He then moved to Wisconsin not to far from my place up north.

It was then shipped back to Illinois near Melrose Park, IL. Where it sat on Craigslist for 1 month. It's almost like the grill was looking for me. It's in perfect shape except for one small chip on the handle.

I know it's a economy because of the wheels and triangle, but I don't care at all. It's mine and I think it's cool!

Thanks brother! I'm keeping it in the box until I get up north to build it. It killing me to see this in the box, but not much room in my Illinois house. Once upnorth it'll go in my office in its own spot.

Ya but my first NOS I'll dont think I'll part with it unless... no I won't part with it. I'll hide it and tell the wife I did if I find a RED NOS but I'm keeping it.

I'm torn.  It's NIB. It's unique, but it is a kettle meant to cook on.

HoosierKettle

I'm not a collector but I don't think I'd cook on that one. Not when you can find a $10 18 in great shape as a cooker. That one is really cool.
