Rockin' K Smokey Joe restore
« on: December 24, 2017, 07:33:50 AM »
My first ever restore. Did this one to get some practice in advance of working on my "pat pending" birth year red head. Definitely learned some things... especially related to use of a Dremmel tool. That tool can be a good friend if you use it right.

Sure. I took it off, “sanded” it down with a dremmel brush tool, stained it, and urethaned it... that’s it.

I had a lot of success with that dremmel on many fronts. I think that tool is a restorer’s best friend.

Thanks. I have been hand sanding mine. I don't know why I didn't think you use my dremmel.

Go to Amazon and search for:
HYCC 40Pcs 1" (25mm) Abrasive Wheel Buffing Polishing Wheel Set For Dremel Rotary Tool

Will be best $12 you’ll spend.

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
