New to me Redhead
« on: November 20, 2017, 01:13:51 PM »
Spotted this one in the wild and decided to stop by and offer cash. Needs a little work and parts but worth the 20 buck to have a redhead in the family.

Just need the missing thermometer, thermometer holder, and lid bale rollers to complete your Master-Touch!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

@AnyThingGrilled per our PM here is some info about the thermo. I'm going to start a new thread about the ash sweeps you asked me about.

The thermometer housing is part #94100, like so: https://www.ereplacementparts.com/thermometer-mounting-assembly-p-1477089.html

The thermometer is part #62538, like so: https://www.ereplacementparts.com/thermometer-dualpurpose-p-1476256.html

I suspect Weber still has them both, since ereplacements and others have them too. Both are also used on early Performers (i.e. the SSP models). The thermometer is also used on the early Genesis/Spirit/900/800/700 type of gassers.

The lid bale rollers have gone through 3 general designs. The first had no flange, the newer ones got larger flanges to protect near the bowl. This thread has more info: http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/got-an-ssp-thats-going-to-need-some-work/msg341043/#msg341043

I think they're all gray until about 2015 and now, black.
