Okay, so behind every grill is a story. Well here's this ones.
I saw the ad on FB for this almost 3 months ago. Contacted the seller and he thought I was trying to scam him. This was located on the coast of Maine where there are no WKC members.
I tried to convince him I was for real but he wasn't having it. So I gave up.
On Sunday it rained all day, good time to hunt for grills. Well as you know I found a Red Mist Outrider. Set that up for pickup on Monday. Feeling good I decided to see if the ad was still up.
It was. I decided not to email again. I spent 30 minutes online and found what I thought to be his phone number. I called and his wife answered. She said we have no grill for sale, but let me ask my husband. He gets on the phone and says that he does have a small Green Weber for sale. I explained who I was and how I got his number. He was impressed and said you really must want this grill. We spoke for 20 minutes, while he was watching the Patriots game, and he agreed to ship it to me. He owns a flea market shop which is where it has sate for almost 20 years he said. He thought it was never used but it was and kept clean. So with my 2 Grail scores this week I complete my Red & Green collections of SSP, 22, 18, & SJ.
Very busy week as on Monday as
@603kettle secured Red Mist Outrider and I drove to NJ to meet
@james1787 and picked up a black SSP, red mist MT in need of restore, and a blue 22 OTG. Yesterday this arrived and on Saturday I pick up 2 more for a total of 7 grills in one week.
Is this coincidental as this is my 700th post. LOL
I will get better pictures. Raining here today.
