I was competing in AL this past weekend and had to walk through a rolling gate about 30 times. The wheels they were using reminded me of older Weber wheels. That got me wondering if the Weber wheels were proprietary or common. Regardless I can't imagine every single one of them as used. There has to be a stockpile of them stashed away in some warehouse. Anybody got a lead ;)

I'm not sure about the metal wheels, but I know the mid-seventies plastic wheels were manufactured by another company for Weber. I would imagine Weber would have taken the same approach earlier as well.

The attached picture is a wheel off of a 1975 kettle.  The back says "Circle Eng. Co." "Chicago ILL" "Pat No. [illedgible]".  I've been looking for NOS wheels of this generation but never had any luck.
