New to the forum and Weber kettles. Just saw this "Red 22" excellent cond" come through craigslist nearby for $50. I don't know anything about vintage grills (or even if this is one), but in reading all your posts, I'm getting interested. What can anyone tell me about this grill?

Welcome and congrates on the score.
Post a picture of the lid vent.

I haven't bought it yet. Trying to learn more about it since I know nothing. I will ask for a pic of the kid vent. Anything else I should ask for more clear pics on?

If its close to you, just go see it.
Look at the leg sockets, inside of bowl, and handles for rust.
Looks like a nice score. Now go get it.

It's an hour away. I'll ask for a couple more pics and post what I get. Thanks!

Get on the road and go see it.
Sometimes people sell to first person who contacts them.
Sometimes they sell to the first person to come see it.
Go see it,NOW!

Like I mentioned.... I'm a 100% novice on this. What's the deal with it?

From what I see on Google... the lid vent puts it at 84-95. Is that right?

If your still home, Weberitis hasn't set in yet.
But it will when you miss out on this grill.
Look at the leg sockets. There appears to be some rust.

Thanks guys for indicating this is a cool piece and I should go get it now. Can anyone tell me about it though? What about it makes it so desirable? Is it valuable? Etc?

It's value is that which someone is willing to pay.
If your looking to make money on it, well this might not be the grill.
Then again you never know.
Its a 1989 One Touch Red 22.5" grill.
What else do you want to know?
