Thats my favorite Seville...the lime green one with the big wheel cart.  If you scroll up to that red Ranger, it says the color is burnt orange.  My red Ranger is certainly a different color red...more to the orange side.  Now that explains the color.  Now I know.  Thanks for the cool pics!

The westerner from the timeline. You can see it had a metal handle and here it has 4 triangles.

Forgotten seville 2nd version left off from the timeline.

Who has scans from this 70's catalog?

Hey Kaz I think I have scans from that catalog.

This is fun! Here's one more great pic of Mr. Stephen and his creation. Circa 1980s.

Kaz, I just caught what you meant by 'original lids' in that pic you just posted, so there was an 'in between' style kettle then? NICE!!

I'm surprised this guy isn't burning his hand. If you notice the way they always demonstrate these with loads of food. They must not use very much charcoal and it's laid out on the bottom and usually direct or there is either tin foil or a pan seperating the food from the fire. I need to give this method a try sometime.

Just got back from a week vacation, and had a chance to read through this thread. Ron's kettle is amazing, and given that we now have a "Grandpa" kettle named here, I submit we call Ron's kettle "The Mayor". (partly as a play on Ron's signature...)

I noticed the no glove shot too, I just figured it was a made for tv camera shot. What really caught my eye in that one was the cool side table.

Metal handles in '62 - Troy's baby blue color making the press.

I think the galley-que is getting left out so let's throw him in the mix

I wish I could find the photos of that weird artist ladies westerner. It was on tvwb like a year ago maybe in the conversation thread?!?

I search Craigslist's all over Texas looking for just that grill. Surely with all the Longhorn fans in Texas someone must have one gathering dust somewhere.

I think you should try and get it again Jeff. She might be willing to part with it now.
