Speaking of Smokey Joes, what's the best way to clean up the old style folding legs ('72-'81 style) ? I just got an old one from Duke recently (thanks again, Duke! :)   ) and I want to clean and polish the legs up with out scratching them since they appear black instead of bare metal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That's a tough one since they are basically bare metal they usually rust really bad. The ones I sent you were decent for their age. I have tried a few difernt methods and so far I like wire brushing or using a copper or stainless scrubber. Then either oil them or repaint them.

This guy local to my area San Jose CA....Shaun he is really good about giving some cleaning tips on the kettles. I used #0000 steel wool to clean out the rust which Shaun said to use. I will email him about this, but he is on here a bit anyways so im sure he will see this.
