Thanks to @Heyjude , I was able to obtain a blue MBH last weekend.  It popped up on CL in our area and he was the first to make contact with the seller. It came with a condiment rack and an unused charcoal rail. The sellers CL add had referred to the charcoal rail as a tool holder and it was pictured hanging from the side of the bowl.  This is the actual image from the sellers CL add.

1979 A Code.

It has some grate strap porcelain blow outs and the cooking grate has seen better days.

I find the innovative front leg repair kind of neat but not sure I can live with it that way long term.

It has probably the thickest and most extensive orange peeling of any kettle I have seen. You can see a little of it in this image.  I will get up early and try and take a photo in the early morning low light.

This one will be making a permanent home with me. It will be right at home with it's little brother,  "Baby Blue" (B code 18" blue MBH).

Long John Silver! At least for Robert Louis Stevenson readers.

Beautiful find. Congratulations. That will be a stunner once you shine it up and replace the replaceables.

Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

Lol the tool holder is great. MBH blues are a really cool color. Congrats on your pair.

OK, got up this morning at 5 AM and buffed the lid with steel wool then took some pictures at optimum lighting.  The orange peel covers the entire lid, all the way to and including the lid rim. It is also extremely heavy and wavy.  Hands down, this is the heaviest and thickest orange peeling I have seen on a kettle. Just amazing.

Here is a ginormous image so you can see the orange peel better.
