Is the grate chrome steel or SS ?

The grate isn't SS, it's nickel plated steel. I just checked mine. I have a NIB as well.

Cool. Just wanted to know. I'll probably never find one in Europe but you never know.
I'm just happy that I still have the CI griddle that came on my 470 summit.
I think that's the same size as yours. It fits perfect in my MT.

One use I've found is that it works great as a top to the Kettle Pizza.
