Imperial years
« on: August 06, 2017, 02:17:04 PM »
So, scrolling through the old catalogs today, I notice "The Imperial" offered in the 62'-66' catalogs. In 68' it's replaced by "The Caribbean". There isn't a 67' catalog available, so my question is what years were the imperials offered?

The Imperial was available as early as 1960. Here is one with steel legs and white wheels. 1967 sounds right as far as the end.

That is an incredibly beautiful grill.

Now I have a silly question.  Did weber ever offer a cover or plug for the third leg?  It looks like your Imperial has something there.  I don't think I've ever looked on any grill and the ones that had something looked exactly like my grandpas cane end from ACE or Walmart.
