What will "complete" your collection?
« on: August 02, 2017, 09:09:23 AM »
I've been thinking lately what do I want that would complete my collection? Weberitis is real, I'm a weberholic and it may never be complete but here is my current listed lineup:

Red Mist OTS/OTG 22" (K, 1988)
Red OTS 18" (K, 1988)
Red MBH 22" (Patent Pending)
Red MBH 18" (Patent Pending)
Dove Gray OTP 22" (K, 1988)
Black OTG 22" (DZ, 2008)
Black OTG 22" (DA, 2001)
Black OTS 18" (DO, 2005)
Blue OTG 22" (DR, 2006) trade pending

I'm picking up a Red Mist OTS 22" Friday.  The blue trade will land me another red MBH and my old faded black A code. That will make 11 kettles.

I keep telling myself if I can find a yellow then I'm done. Or another Gray. Or a Gray and a yellow. Idk. I'm sick.

I think it's because in our current home I don't have a pad that can put 11 grills on display so they are under cover in the garage and I have to rotate them in and out. Maybe if I had space it would never be complete but if I could only pickup one more it would have to be a yellow.

What do you have and what would complete your collection?

Can't say that there's anything that would truly complete my collection.  There will always be something that pops up, whether it be kettle or accessory, that could be added to my hoard.

Full disclosure here: I own a 48' semi trailer that I use for storage, so space isn't an issue (right now).

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

I have a few left to complete a certain collection 1 is in a box and headed my way. I can't think of any one or 10 that would COMPLETE my collection. I like the thrill of the hunt.

I think my black 22 is a DZ, where do you live? I also have seen a red pat pending on Craigslist but it is way too far to drive for me to get it.. it was up near Scranton in PA.

Are they birthdays or something for the for recent #'s ?

My collection will never be "complete" as my preferences in kettles change. I pass kettles on when someone will appreciate it more than I would.

Phase one would be complete with a red mbh 18, and mbh lime 18 and 22.
After that Phase II will be a lot more difficult and frustrating. But fun none the less!

There we go! Thanks for participating. I understand most of us will never be done hunting myself included. Just wanted to start a topic to grind the gears. If you could only score one more what would it be?  Reality check boys. We all wanna be like Harris but let's not kid ourselves.
