 Looks like you have some threaded rod there - are you using that method instead of star nuts? I was planning to send those to you in the morning.

@56mpg i was hoping to only use the rod on the bottom, thinking that the 4 bolts at the top of the frame used star nuts. But now that i look at it, it doesn't seem to be the case. So don't send those out, i guess i won't need them.

So i prepped the frame by using a red scuff pad ,sanding down any loose paint or rust, blowing it off, wiping down with solvent and blowing off again. again.
Installed 3/8 threaded rod with stainless cap nuts and loctite.
Then sprayed with automotive trim black.
Think it looks pretty good so far...
