Does anyone have or have any feelings about the Weber Char Q?

Idk Joe. If the price is right I'd buy one to experiment with. Do the charcoal ones have the cast iron split grate? Light enough to take on the go? Might be a good little cooker.

And if you don't like it I'm sure someone here would buy it. Looks easily shippable.

I almost bought one last year. After doing some research, I found that most owners complained that it wouldn't heat up enough to sear.

If one came up around me I would buy it. I think it would make a great tailgating grill.

It's a friggin' hipster grill! I'd probably have to buy skinny jeans & beard wax if I owned one.

If I'm going to be forced to use a little grill, I think I would get a charcoal go anywhere. Their square shape seems like it would fit nicely in a car and you can carry by the handle.  My "feeling" is to not buy one but who knows, might be a good cooker. I have to have a porcelain finish if I'm grilling.

@LightningBoldtz once had one of these. How did it function as a cooker? The idea of one is cool.

It's a strange grill, you can't pile coal for greater heat,  good thing is the coal is really close to the grate for a good sear.  I bought one for 50 and couldn't sell it for more than 40
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Yes, but could you fire it up on the two square foot balcony on the side of a downtown Toronto douchebag condo building without getting in trouble? And would you have to specify it's for organic vegan cooking only?
