Vortex

Which brand of vortex should I get?  Or from whay site?  Amazon has two listed from two different sellers . Reviews on one said it was a fraud. I know you can't always believe reviews.

My opinion is this. Get some charcoal baskets, or buy a stainless steel bowl and cut the bottom off.

I'm guessing vortex doesn't sell them. All those sites are confusing because they all have different info. Can't tell which is authentic.

Does someone on here actual have one and know which site they got it from?

We should make items that everyone is interested in with  suppliers info a sticky.

Make sure you get the Medium if you are going to use it on the regular kettle.

Are they made with the same quality and thickness as the Slow n Sear or just like sheet metal?

One of the ones on Amazon is a knockoff that ships out of China and takes a while to get.  No telling what's in that metal.

I personally bought mine from here http://www.owensbbq.com/vortex.html

It's 20 gauge stainless steel, Slow N Sear is 16 I think I read. It's still durable and not thin sheet metal like the Weber charcoal baskets.
