Not if you're looking to use it LIKE a Slow N Sear. It's its own beast.

Now if you're looking to save money, I use a couple common bricks, and have pretty decent luck keeping whatever temp I want. I do everything from slow smoking pulled pork, ribs or brisket, to reverse searing steaks using $3.00 worth of bricks from Menards.  YMMV.

The baskets cN be used effectively,  however the SNS makes it easier. The SNS also adds the water reservoir to the mix for a moist cooking environment  more consistent than a water pan under the food.  That water reservoir also allows you to have meat much closer to the heat source without burning than without.
