Thats pretty cool.  But I'd hate to put any sort of weight or pressure on these tables. They are so fragile.  Its too bad Weber couldn't make this one is stainless steel like their old model.

Yea but this theoretically will strengthen the table by distributing the weight.  This might be a savior of your tables...What if this insert was made of a thin piece of Stainless.....Hummmmmmm.......

That looks like a Platinum. I wonder if it's the same size as the newer Performers. I guess I could measure my son's Performer.

I wonder if these typically break by setting weight on them or lifting to move them.

No., I think they're referring to the thermoset tables on the older Platinums and newer Performers.

They break from poor handling.. I doubt weight would do it unless you but a rediculous amount..
I don't care if you don't like my Avatar, its there for me..
