Damn the summit is a marvelous piece of hardware. I stopped by an ace hardware while i had an appointment in the area. They also had the 22 wsm. Pictures don't do it justice either. That thing is huge.

After seeing both summits, I like the one with the table. The guy I talked to hinted there might be a sale near Father's Day. I'm not getting one but in case anyone is in the market.

Anyone want to take a guess at how many summits they have sold so far?

I can't say they have sold very many charcoal summit. I would say that drop of 1/3 or more off msrp is needed to move them out.  For example, here in Canada, the one with the table is at $2500. If it dropped to $1500.... it would be very hard for me to not get one.

That is an awesome piece of hardware. I'd love to own one, but for hat kind of money I could get a custom built patio offset smoker. Choices choices...

Charred nailed it. Not a single one. I guess my chances of scoring a used one is slim.

0 is pretty amazing, considering everyone and their brother in the state of GA has an Egg....essentially a $1000 proposition for one of those.

It was something I heard last year. How true it is I don't know. From what I gathered, it was more or less a test run to see how the consumer reaction was to a high end charcoal Weber to compete with the "egg" style cookers.
