My very first Weber kettle was purchased new at Lowe's in 2011.  It was a black OTS.  The box stated the following:

"Made in the USA, incorporating globally sourced component parts".

Not sure how much has changed since then ...

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

I emailed Weber.  Hopefully they will help us figure this out once and for all.

"Hello, I own several weber kettles and they are great.  I am curious to know which charcoal grills are still made here.  I'm only curious about the bowl and lids, not the other components.  I know the red is made in asia apparently, but I would like to know which grills are made here so I can support our local workers with my next purchase.

Thank, Sean."

It just occurred to me that they might not know where "here" is from my email.  I will assume that they will assume correctly lol

Well, some of you asked for it. Others might not be so happy.  Might be the first discounted LE red. Posted on Weber Kettle Fans Facebook page. Home Depot in Bartlett Illinois.

I'll need to see it in person to make a decision. I still think my K redhead is a better value.
