Pre-orders are now because it is not being made here (Far East). Made there because of environmental issues for the bright red finish.  I would pre-order..

How do we pre-order?  I do not care where they put the topper logo, but is it confirmed about the bright red finish and looking exactly like shown.   What is the estimated cost including the shipping from the far east country.  Thanks!

Option 2 -less prominent Topper on the bezel.  Most of the "Bobs" like this option best.  available early Q4....

You mean the thermometer bezel?

In your opinion, does it pay to track down a pre-order now, ie "before May 12" or is it best to wait?
Where did you see the option to pre-order? I inquired about it using the online form on their website but haven't heard back

Just talked to Brian Romain at Patio World.  These kettles are expected to be available in November of this year.  They do not have pricing as of yet as Weber just released this on Monday.  Patio World is taking the names and contact information right now as pre-order pricing is not available yet.  If you are interested in pre-ordering when available here is the person to contact at Patio World. Wayne is a WKC member and is Brian's son.

Do we know whether this is an exclusive for this particular store, or if this is something Weber is doing for Weber dealers across the Country?

No, most of the big box stores (Ace, Home Depot, Lowes) are now ordering from Weber.  However, I don't believe they are are accepting orders from the public.  The suggested retail price of the grill is $199.

I would definitely have to score an absurd amount of brownie points with the wife to get this. the only reason she let's me flip is cuz it's  relatively low spending $200..... I'd have to be a very good boy ha ha

It's because of the cadmium selenide used in the bright red enamel. It's considered highly toxic.

LOL.  I thought it was because red attracts hummingbirds and red webers were considered hummingbird pecker wreckers!!!!!

Just called an spoke with Brian and put my name on the list!  Shipping is available at a cost, of course.  He said since it's limited, he doesn't expect t to be sold at the box stores, only select dealers in the system.  Either way I'm good and am looking forward to getting more details.
