Uncle Al

I just pitched my mod month idea to my wife. Her response was "get the will finished before you start that".  :o

Oh and it's only February, impressive.
Is that a new early-bird record @56MPG ?

And I don't even have this year's poster done yet. Chomping at the bit are we @Uncle Al ?

FYI - Trash-talk in February is totally within the no-rules policy.

My wife will not be pleased, she is going to have to hear me talk about this for another six months.

Handles on a 14" WSM center section seem to be the big winners! Start your mod now and vote often!
I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!

Search the forums for "mod month" and check out the rules as well as the mods that were considered. Some real talent around these parts and a lot of neat mods to check out.

I don't always play by the rules, but when I do I prefer these:

1. You must be a registered member of the WKC by September 30th, 2017 to submit an entry.
3. Member "teams" are allowed, but only a single entry can be posted for each mod, and the prize will go to whoever posts the entry. It's up to them whether they share.
4. Mods must include a Weber-branded Kettle, GA, WSM, Ranch, SJ, Gasser, or accessory in some way, shape or form, even if there's nothing left of it at the end.
5. Members may submit as many mods as they like, subject to spousal approval.
6. Videos are welcome, especially if you cut yourself.
7. Action shots showing your entry fired up and cooking are encouraged. Your entry on fire would be cool too.
8. Pics and descriptions of your modified grill(s) must be submitted by September 30th, 2017 by Midnight PST, unless you have a very good excuse, in which case you just entered the 2018 contest.

Please note that these are not official rules. There may or may not be any rules by the time we get to September.  ;D
