High school smokey joe
« on: January 07, 2017, 10:33:57 AM »
can't believe I found my old high school smokey joe at my parents house! I thought I had lost it. It has been hibernating all these years. EZ code 98'
Before.

After

the legs and bolts are soaking in vinegar to release some rust. Hopefully it works first time

Nice....
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

Really cool.  A lot of good memories cooking on that one.

Looks good. One thing though, I believe the wingnuts go on the inside of the bowl.

That's a great one to have in the collection given it's history.

@Darko has it right, wing nuts go on the inside.
