A while back I picked up a NIB B-Code SJ and much to my dismay, when I opened the box a saw this:

However it did come with this replacement vent:

A while later, Gummi found a b-code on the side of the road and was nice enough to send me this:

With a little cleaning, I'm thrilled with the results:

Thanks @PBE Gummi Bear. You along with the other statesmen set the tone for this place and make it a great group to be a part of.

You're most welcome! It looks great and I'm glad you are able to complete your SJ. Now I have to figure out how to dispose of the rest of the SJ body. ;)

Wow that cleaned up perfectly.  What technique did you use to get it scratch free like that?

@captjoe06 I started with a SOS pad and dish soap to get most of the grime off. Then 220 grit sandpaper followed by steel wool and last metal polish. Nothing too crazy, I just make sure to always sand/scrub in the same directions. In person you can still see marks from the steel wool.

Gummi sets the example of what a great member is.  I owe him a lot......
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Gummi is AWESOME.  He got me started on this wonderful hobby by sending me his dumpster avocado.  Love all the people here on WKC.

Very nice Gummi. I joined this club for many reasons, but this was #1. Great people willing to help each other.
