He said I was his first response and he could not believe how many people were interested in it.  When I got there he asked me honestly what it was worth and I told him he probably could have asked $100-$125 even without the grates and sold it easily.  He said he just wanted it gone and was fine with the $65.

I was thinking the same thing although someone local sent me a message that they have a new plastic table that I may grab if the price is right.  If not I will bite the bullet and order the metal table.

I just called Weber to order a few of the misc parts and mentioned the table at the end of the conversation and she was kind enough to offer to send me a replacement for free.  I told her I bought the grill used so she did not have to do that.  Maybe because I ordered and paid for the other parts.  This grill keeps getting better.

Wow, that's amazing.  It's nice to hear that you were honest with them and they are still sending the table.  Good ol kettle karma.

Great score!  If it is missing the thermo, I would highly recommend going with a tel-tru to replace it!

Do you have a link by chance to the one you are referring to?

Here is the link.

I do a lot of really high heat cooking so I went with the Big Green Egg, Primo, Komodo..... 200/1000F 2" dial 5" stem.

A 5" or 6" stem will work, a 4" stem will not be long enough.  2" is the biggest dial that will work.  I think the one that comes on the SS performers is 1 3/4".

Price is not bad.  I pulled one up and it was like $55 bucks which seems pricey to me.

Was just pulling it apart to clean it up and have two issues, the first is that the back two screws that hold the table on spin and wont come out, I can only assume the nuts inside the frame are detached.  How can I fix this?  The second is under the lower lid bale bracket on the outside of the kettle there is rust, can I do something with this to prevent it from getting worse?  Thoughts?
