I love me a faded black MBH, I also love a Saturday adventure.  Where's the Simpson's?
Here's what I was up to this morning.  After a stop at my super agent's house, I met @saugust in a clandestine location in northern Illinois.  I was dropping off some stuff we had struck a deal on during the meet up.  He had a baby recently so I figured I would help a brother out and take the grills up north.  Plus my super agent had some stuff for me.  It was a nasty day it's like 40 degrees with a 40mph wind with flurries.  I apologize to Sean that we didn't shoot the shit longer but it was miserable and we split.

Anyhow a few pics

@saugust Sean loading up, his very sweet daughter Tula decided to stay in the car with the grills and the boys.....

@RottiGuy you can see your package under the woodard cart, just gotta hit the post office......

I love listening to the WXRT flashback and picking up grills on a Saturday morning.

Oh and if anyone is interested in some 90s red heads or a near mint wire leg C code Smokey in a trade send me a note....

Second stop 40 minutes away from the first. Simpson's kettle in good shape.  One quarter sized ding in lid.  Minor surface rust around handles
Clean otherwise

The MBH was an older couple one owner.  I asked the Simpson's owner if he had an other calls on it and he said only one other and the person asked him if he ever traveled to the South Shore(about an hour away).

Got some literature from the MBH owners-

You remember last week someone asked about the value of a kettle and the photo he was showing was horrible? The Simpson's CL ad was missing the ash pan and not very flattering at all.  I suspect that's why he didn't get more calls.

You lucky guys up there in kettle Craigslist heaven. Austin/San Antonio is slim pickins. From the kettles in the back of the van it looks like different vintages of ash pans (with and without rolled edge). I like the ones without. You guys should list the Simpson and one of them ash pans so I can buy em.
