Hey guys, have a couple questions. I've cleaned a few kettles that were in roughy shape with good results. Wondering if there are any precautions I should take with this one? Never cleaned a colored kettle, and I've read about different legs some older kettles have. Just don't wanna screw anything up in the process of cleaning her all up. Thanks for any help and suggestions.

This is the only decent pic I have right know. It's a patent pending so 1969 or 1970? In pretty good shape. Has some rim rash and one chip on the lid pretty decent size.

No extras that I'm aware of. That sure is a beautiful Chief!

That's gonna be a difficult restore. I'm more than willing to donate my A.D.D. and O.C.D. to the cause. PM me for my shipping adress and once it's cleaned up and cooked on a few 100 times, I'll ship it back to you ;)

In reality,  just go slow, be patient, follow the restore guidelines as always.
And enjoy that beautiful Kettle!

Thanks guys. I got to do the bowl today and a part of the lid then had to wrap it up for dinner. Turned out real good so far.

You are doing a great job.. On the older kettles, just be more careful. The porcelain  is different from from the new stuff.

Nice looking Chief, @cumminfourya  did that one turn up locally? I have one too. Yours looks like its coming along nicely.

No @Craig, this is actually the one that @Travis posted here in the online finds in Durango,CO. Picked it up on our way home from Las Vegas this past week.
