Me either. I wet it down with charcoal lighter and set fire to it. My performer sets out in the rain with it's bin full of oak chunks. They are always good and dry and I have had lots of heavy rain here. I never cover my outside grills, but I do remove the ash pan. Wet ash is a grill's worst enemy.


That's a great idea.  Never thought of that.  I think I'll start removing the ash pan and flipping it upside down when not in use.  Thanks for the tip!
